Beauty Queen

I just did an illustration for an article about beauty pageants and children. The piece turned out ok but I had to make some major changes. I also wish I could have painted the illustration instead of coloring it in Photoshop but, I was under a half day deadline. A real rush job.

The finished illustration. Because of the weird dimensions (13.6"x 5.5")I had to drastically alter the original concept.

The Ventura Art Walk is this weekend. Yesterday, (Saturday) I sold a lot of gift cards and prints.

My biggest priority has been my daughter, Emma. She is nearly 9 months old now and most of my time has been devoted to her. I can't seem to remember what life was like before she was born, and now I can't imagine life without her.

The Life Of The Party
