The holiday season is upon us and I dug up an old illustration for the VC Reporter’s Last Minute Gift Guide. Done around 2004, acrylic on paper, 11″x17″.
Another illustration for an article about food storage for the winter. This one is called “Birds and Nuts”. The original is at Anacapa Brewery until January 8th.
A little project I worked on this past weekend. I modeled the baby’s face after my daughter, Emma. Graphite, acrylic paint on paper 11″x 17″.
3 different versions of Kris, don’t know which one the AD will pick for publication, but he liked all 3 versions.
I just did an illustration for an article about beauty pageants and children. The piece turned out OK but I had to make some major changes. I also wish I could have painted the illustration instead of coloring it in Photoshop but, I was under a half day deadline. A real rush job.
The finished illustration. Because of the weird dimensions (13.6″x 5.5″)I had to drastically alter the original concept.

I recently completed a new cover for the VC Reporter this week and it really turned out great thanks to Christy Sisneros, the Production Manager at the paper. Concept sketch and finished cover below.
